WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication) is the same browser-native standard used by professional video tools. On Lamp Whisper, your video and audio stream passes directly from your browser to your match's browser. Our servers manage signaling — the brief handshake that introduces you — but do not relay or record the media stream after the handshake completes. There is no central server caching frames of your private video chat.
Session metadata such as duration, skip events, and abuse reports is logged for moderation purposes only, never the contents of your video or voice. When either side presses skip or closes the tab, the WebRTC connection closes and no Lamp Whisper server retains a copy of what was shared.
