Frequently asked questions
Do I need to create an account first?
No. Random video chat matching works without registration. Optional sign-in is available from the profile drawer later for saved preferences.
How does skipping work?
Tap Next during a session to close the current cam room and immediately match with a new stranger. The previous stranger cannot follow you to the next room.
Where are Report and Block?
On the cam room UI during every video, voice, or text session — you never have to leave the room to find them.
Can I use voice or text instead of video?
Yes. Voice and text are alternative slow-down modes on the same Match screen for nights a full cam room feels heavy. Switch back to video the moment you feel ready.
Are cam rooms recorded?
No. Sessions end when you leave; Lamp Whisper does not save video, audio, or transcripts from random matches. The cam stream travels peer-to-peer between the two browsers.
